No vehicles are allowed within the school grounds at any time. Transport to and from school is the parent's responsibility.
Cellphones must be switched off during school hours. Other devices (iPods, MP3, PSP) are prohibited. Lost/stolen devices are the parent's responsibility.
Learners must arrive 5 minutes before school starts. Late arrivals are sent to study class (fees apply). Extending holidays is not permitted.
Parents must announce at the office. To speak to a teacher, make an appointment via WhatsApp or voice note. No classroom visits without permission.
All books must be neatly covered. Damaged or lost books are replaced at the parent's cost. Books must be returned upon permanent departure.
Notify the school before 09:00 on the day of absence. A written note or medical certificate is required on return. Medical appointments must be scheduled after school hours.
Each learner is expected to maintain Christian norms, values and character. Vandalism, theft, fighting, racism, and foul language can lead to serious punishment.
The School Governing Body (SGB) is a democratically elected body that plays a key role in the governance and financial management of Onze Rust Primary School. The SGB works in partnership with the principal and staff to ensure that the school operates in the best interests of all learners.
The SGB is responsible for adopting policies, approving the school budget, maintaining school property, and supporting the school's vision and mission.
